The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is pleased to invite you to a presentation of the public policy document research: Youth and use of personal data on internet. The event will be held on 13th of June (Tuesday), from 13:00h to 14:30h, at hotel Hilton, Skopje.

The policy document is a result of an inclusive process, based on evidence and joint efforts of relevant experts and practitioners, domestic and international stakeholders, in the partnership frame with the four Research and Analytical Centers of political parties.

The overall process included a series of consultative meetings, desktop research, in-depth quantitative and qualitative research and validation discussions with different stakeholders.  Additionally, a hackathon was organized in collaboration with Brainster which resulted in 9 comprehensive proposals for digitalization of policy recommendations. On this event the best digital solution stemming from the policy recommendations will be presented.

The event will inform about the research findings, policy recommendations, and the winning solution of the SavetheData Hackathon. We hope that the presentations and discussions will provide valuable insight and ‘food for thought’ about the online use of personal data by young people in North Macedonia, online behavior and risks as well as concrete ways to address them.
