4F = Foster Family = Fair Family
This 2I has two-fold objectives 1) to monitor the implementation of the measure “Home for every child – increase of the allowance for foster families by 30%” from the Government Program; and 2) to increase public awareness about the foster families and the importance of every child having a home. Through discussions and interactions with foster families in Skopje, Krushevo, Makedonski Brod and Prilep the 2I will assess to what extent this government measure is implemented. The challenges of foster families and the importance of implementing this measure will be portrayed through video(s), infographics and other materials that will be shared with interested stakeholders and public in general.

Quality Education
This initiative is meant to closely follow the progress achieved in the process of renovating and rebuilding the infrastructure of middle schools located in Prilep. By using different tools and approaches such as Zoom meetings, participative discussions with affected stakeholders, photo exhibition in the city hall, this 2I will mobilize the community and spark their interest in following the progress in the implementation of the government promise. The initiative foresees development of media products (video, posters) aimed to raise the awareness about the importance of the good quality of education and the commitment of the country as a part of global efforts to improve the life of the citizens as reflected by the of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals including SDG 4 on inclusive and equitable quality education.

Stray dogs: from superficial to sustainable solutions
This 2I will address the ongoing issues common with many of the other municipalities in North Macedonia, and that is the problem with stray dogs. For the purpose of this initiative a quantitative and qualitative research methods will be included in forms of interviews, desk research, comparative methods with other countries, regarding solutions to the same or similar ongoing issues. Ongoing online survey and focus groups will be implemented as part of the implementation process of the initiative, as well as public discussions regarding identification of sustainable solutions. The findings and the Policy brief from the initiative will be made available to the public and will be expected to be part of the party’s local election campaign.
