Monitoring of the implementation of electoral promises of the Government and Local Self-Government units

Aim and scope of the local monitoring

The monitoring of the election promises of the political parties and the mobilization of the community to demand accountability and fulfilment of the promises, is part of the project Support to electoral reforms. These activities are carried out in collaboration with Strategic Management Systems (SMS) and aim to increase community engagement on issues relevant to them.

The monitoring is carried out by 35 civil society organizations (CSOs) in the country and about 60 community mobilizers-members of the aforementioned CSOs.

The monitoring will be conducted for a period of 6 months, that is, from November 1, 2022 to April 2023, for the first group of 25 organizations, while for the additional group of 10 organizations, the monitoring period began from February 1 and will last until June 15, 2023.

The collected data from the conducted monitoring is presented in a Monitoring Matrix that is filled every month for specifically selected priorities for which community mobilizers conduct monitoring in various municipalities.
